Guiding and supporting our students is a dedicated instructional team that brings both expertise and passion to every rehearsal and performance. Bob Grigas leads the program as Instrumental Music Director, with Lori Willis serving as Orchestra and Choir Director, and Briana Berastain as Marching Ensemble Co-Director.

 

Together, they foster a supportive and challenging environment where students can grow musically and personally.

 

Supporting the program is the Cal High Music Boosters, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of Band, Color Guard, and Orchestra families, alumni, and community supporters who believe in the transformative power of music education. As the program’s parent-led nonprofit partner, the Cal High Music Boosters help sustain and enhance music education opportunities for all students. Working in partnership with the directors and school administration, the Boosters provide financial support, volunteer resources, and operational assistance that help make performances, competitions, travel opportunities, special events, and enrichment programs possible.

 

Every family with a student in the Cal High Instrumental Music Program is automatically a member of the Boosters and is encouraged to participate. Through fundraising, advocacy, and volunteer service, members help ensure that current and future students have access to exceptional musical experiences and opportunities for growth. Booster meetings are held monthly during the school year, beginning in August, and provide families with opportunities to stay informed, get involved, and support the continued success of the program.
